General Guild Info
How I Met A Dragon [BRO] is offering a familiar atmosphere towards new and veteran players.
The leader team consists of me Xhex (24y, fem) and my significant other Reemix (25y, male). We established the guild back in 2012 and invited our friends to join us on our adventure through Guild Wars 2. However, in fact, the guild was established much earlier, but was not shaped as we did at the launch of GW2.
Our main focus is Guild Wars 2, although we occasionally play other games as well.
- Diablo III
- Guild Wars 1 (for GW2 achievements)
- Don’t Starve Together
- Civilization VI
- (Hardcore) Games on Playstation 4
- and many more
We don’t enforce any rules, except unwritten common sense rules (be nice etc.).
Additionally, we use a vertical hierarchy system in which every member is considered equal and receives the same respect as others. You do not need to “be active a certain amount of time to reach the next rank”. No, you join, establish yourself and are considered the same.
We try to stay small to maintain our familiar atmosphere of a maximum of 20-30 active people (currently ~17 with 4-5 concurrent). We don’t want you to be a faceless number (unless you want to of course). You can tell us your real name or your overall online screen name. We think your real life is most important and respect that. If you don’t have time due to RL or you simply don’t want to play, this is perfectly fine. You won’t be kicked for inactivity, especially not if you tell us beforehand or sometime afterwards.
We own a Discord Server. However, it is everybody’s own decision whether to join it or not. Shy people are not forced to talk at all. Alternatively, we offer you Skype for communication.
That’s it about the guild in general.

Brace yourselves, Path of Fire is coming!
Dungeons, Fractals, Raids, Achievements, Open World
Secondary Focus sPVP:
Saisonal achievements, automated tournaments
Reemix and I are playing since the GW2 beta and accumulated quite some expertise regarding this game ever since. We invested both around 5400 hours of playtime into our main accounts and gained between 28000 and 29000 achievement points. We basically know most parts of the game and can teach you everything you want. We can teach everything from becoming better in the game itself, lowman/speedrun Dungeons or Fractals, Jumping Puzzles, Living Seasons.
Apart from slowly upgrading our guildhall, we focus on preparing for the next expansion Path of Fire. This includes accumulating currencies, hunting specific achievements etc. In general, we are currently actively running Dungeons and Fractals. In a slightly longer goal we want to continue to learn Raid encounter and progression including all challenge motes. We only started Raids last year and needed to pause due to RL restrictions (exams and the likes). Nevertheless, we successfully cleared Vale Guardian, Gorseval, Slothasor, Trio and Escort. Other bosses have not really been touched yet, but surely will. Therefore, our goal would be to build a more or less static team or roster of people to raid and progress with.
Long Term Goals:
- Upgrading Guildhall (obviously it must become even shinier).
- Path of Fire expansion with all its achievements, including Living Season 4 afterwards.
- Lowman Dungeons/Raids and possibly selling them (income will be split like we did before).
Gilded Hollow, Level 15+ (as of September 2017), 150 slot treasury
Considering our small guild roster, the guild is in a good shape and nicely upgraded. Even before the launch of Heart of Thornes, we were able to upgrade the guild almost completely and last year we managed to claim our guildhall with 3 people only. There are no weekly fees, but we appreciate donations which are solely used for upgrading the guildhall further.
Active guild representation is not required of you, although we do like to be seen as your main guild.
We do not enforce nor check your builds. You can also run your „funbuild“ if you want to. We encourage people to experiment with their builds and gain knowledge about build synergies.
However, if you still want to use metabuilds, we suggest using [qT]’s builds, but we will also add their own quote here: „You don’t have to be a class nazi. Every class can do the job if played correctly. Having the highest possible damage is not necessary to kill any boss.”
18 years+ (or at least the respective mental equivalent), a GW2 account (also F2P is okay), Willingness to learn and integrate (either verbally or non-verbally by simply playing). No trials enforced.
Social activities, general chatting, Homeinstance Nodes, Dungeons/Fractals,/Raids teaching, just chilling about, helping with RL homework (physics, maths, biology, biotechnology, computer science etc.), opportunity to build friendships
